My paper contained an overview “the influence of the Internet on political participation and election in Japan.” Recently, there has been a growing interest in the influence of social network in politics. By using social network service, it is said that citizens can actively express and discuss social and political opinions, which may promote social and political participation. These source include the questionnaires, basic knowledge of government of Japan and America, analysis how many people use social network such as Twitter, Facebook, blog when voting.
