1.) A synopsis of the film identifying the major characters and performers, central events,
major collaborators, and the film’s relation to Lee’s work (i.e. where it lands in his career
or what its influence is on Lee’s work);
2.) At least one stylistic, formal, aesthetic, social, or political detail from the film that is
either consistent with or a significant departure from Lee’s work overall, as represented
by a clip of 30secs-2mins in length;
3.) A clear and substantive statement, comment, or interpretation of the relation between the
supplementary screening and the week’s required screening, ideally in a way that moves
beyond any overt thematic relationship.
