In the 1980s, food was not the main thing that attracts people to London. No Londoner would consider this city as a global gourmet destination (Ellwood, 2016). Now with the growth spurt of social media back in 2010, more people are using online surfaces like facebook, instagram, and twitter to showcases their lifestyles to the outside world. London is the most visited city in the entire world, people travel to London for many things like sightseeing, outdoor activities, and shopping. Instagram is a popular platform where people could upload their photos and videos to their friends and followers. Influencers like them are creating a trend for people around the globe to come and explore the varieties of cuisines here in the city. London is famous for landmarks and parks, and now London will be busier than before since this new trend shows no sign of slowing down.

London has some of the best restaurants in the world, and famous celebrities chefs like Gordon Ramsey and Michael Roux Jr. made London an even more worthwhile food visiting trip for tourists. More than three-quarters of visitors in London said they enjoyed spending time in a restaurant than whose said they enjoyed spending their time doing other things (Wallop, 2010) It is not surprising that people spend their time outdoors visiting landmark, sightseeing, but they also enjoyed visiting different restaurants. Whether if it is fine dining restaurants from Michelin stars to street vendor, London has some of the most diverse food culture in past years.
