Graphics should be included in a paper when they enhance the information presented. Including graphics just for “eye candy” may in some situations help hold the audience’s interest, but this type of graphic isn’t appropriate for formal academic writing.
- In your first post, present a graphic that you will include on the cover page of your final portfolio project. It must directly relate to the overall topic of your portfolio. If it’s NOT one you created, provide a citation for it. Explain how this graphic will help enhance your thesis. You may not use a copyright protected image without permission.
- Respond to two classmates’ posts, critiquing their graphics. Would slight modifications make the graphics more useful? Are the graphics clear and easy to understand?
