The aspects you discuss can be of different kinds – they may concern themes, style, film production and funding, narration, the genre, or something else that you feel is interesting and important. And some aspects of what is represented. Even if the focus is on the films you have chosen, your text should also demonstrate your further knowledge of contemporary Swedish cinema – i.e. the films are used as examples of two different modes of filmmaking and the institutions that support them. Apart from relating to the course readings, please also use concepts from A Dictionary of Film Studies – such as, i.e. representation, genre, realism, verisimilitude, gender – in your writing, allowing you to make and discuss observations with greater clarity.
